CADfix Import/Export ModulesCADfix has optional add-on modules which allow it to import from, and export to, a number of commonly-used CAD formats. A base installation of CADfix includes the IGES import/export module as a standard option. Import/export modules for additional CAD systems or formats are available as additional options. If you are interested in particular CAD formats, be sure to indicate which modules you are interested in when requesting a demo or a quote. LicensingEMA3D/CADfix and MHarness licenses are available as either standalone licenses (sometimes called "per-seat" or "nodelocked" licenses) or floating network licenses (sometimes called "server" or "per-server" licenses). For EMA3D and MHarness, standalone licenses are the same price as network licenses. For CADfix, use of a floating license requires the purchase of the "floating license option", which is an additional option. However, once the floating license option has been purchased, each additional floating license is the same price as a standalone license. In other words, the "floating license option" need only be purchased once; it can be thought of as a one-time purchase of the use of the license server, or a one-time purchase to turn on the floating license feature, that is separate from the licenses themselves. Evaluation/DemosEMA3D/CADfix and MHarness are available on a trial/demo basis for evaluation. The typical evaluation period is 30 days. Evaluation licenses are usually standalone licenses ("see "Licensing" above). MaintenanceMany customers purchase a maintenance contract to accompany EMA3D/CADfix or MHarness. Maintenance consists of unlimited support with the software, and all software upgrades as they become available. Six months of maintenance is typically included with a purchase. TrainingEMA offers training for its software products. Some customers purchase training together with the software. Others have purchased a training session prior to making a software purchase decision in order to better evaluate the software. Training fees depend on depth and extent of training desired and other factors including number of trainees and travel expenses.
