Notes:*user disk space:Most MHarness problems require relatively little user disk space for the problem files. 1 GB is probably more than enough; more should be allowed if you wish to run very large MHarness problems or store data for multiple runs or many MHarness problems.**system memory:System memory requirements can vary depending on the MHarness problem you are solving. Most MHarness problems will take much less space in memory than the minimum mentioned. However, you may want to have enough memory for multiple MHarness jobs, very large jobs, etc. ***graphics:There is no particular graphics requirement for running MHarness itself. Graphics considerations should be based on whatever data-plotting program you wish to use for viewing MHarness results, which can be viewed with any data-plotting program of the user's choice. The free "gnuplot" that is included, has very basic graphics requirements, and is adaptable to many terminal types. If some other third-party plotting package is being used to plot/visualize result waveforms, the graphics requirements for that package should be considered. Application-Specific Requirements:As noted above, system memory and disk space requirements can vary depending on the types of MHarness problems you wish to solve. The above information is intended to be general advice that should cover most situations. If you would like additional advice on suggested system requirements for your particular application, please feel free to contact us. |
